Make an Appointment at a Passport Agency or Center

You may be eligible to apply at a passport agency or center depending on your international travel date and reason for travel. Learn more about how to contact us and make an appointment in the chart below:

I have a life-or-death emergency and must travel internationally in the next 72 hours (3 business days). You may qualify for an appointment if your immediate family member has died, is dying (hospice care), or has a life-threatening illness or injury. Call us to see if you are eligible to make an appointment. 
The number you should call depends on the day and time:

  2. You can schedule your appointment up to two weeks before your travel, but the date of your appointment must be within 72 hours (3 business days) of your travel date.
