Renew Your Passport Online
Eligible U.S. citizens who want routine service can renew their passports online.
Avoid unofficial online renewal sites
The only official, authorized place to renew your U.S. passport online is opr.travel.state.gov . Other websites or companies claiming you can renew your passport online may be fraudulent. No one else can sign and submit your online passport application for you. These websites and companies charge extra fees and put your personal data at risk. Even if a company has “Gov” in its name, it is not authorized to accept or process online renewal applications. Always check you are on a website ending in .gov, not .com, .us, or .org.
We cannot get involved in any dispute with these companies or refund an unauthorized application. You can report an incident to the Federal Trade Commission or your State consumer protection office. If your personal information has been compromised, visit IdentityTheft.gov for help and resources. Check the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for tips on passport scams. Visit our Courier and Expeditor Companies page for more information.
