On July 12, 2024, the Department of State published a final rule revising the Code of Federal Regulations for accreditation and approval of U.S. adoption service providers (ASP). This final rule is effective January 8, 2025. The Department has also made updates to the Accreditation Technical Guidance (formerly known as the Hague Technical Guidance). These updates reflect revisions to the final rule and updated references to the Intercountry Adoption Uniform Accreditation Act of 2012.
