Attorney Guide For Litigation International Child Abduction Cases

Kilpatrick Stockton, LLP and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) produced this guide for attorneys litigating incoming child abduction cases under the Hague Abduction Convention.  This manual is an important resource for attorneys providing legal representation to parents whose children have been abducted to the United States.

Please note that on April 1, 2008, after the publication of this manual, the Office of Children’s Issues in the Department of State resumed the handling of incoming cases under the Hague Abduction Convention.  Incoming cases had been handled by NCMEC under a three-way Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Justice and the Department of State.
