The Intercountry Adoption Accreditation and Maintenance Entity (IAAME) and The Center for Excellence in Adoption Services (CEAS) accredit and approve adoption service providers (ASP) for intercountry adoption. Information on ASPs in both accrediting entities’ jurisdictions can be found in the ASP Directory
To search for ASPs by country program, choose the service needed on the drop down menu. You may search for services needed, the country in which you wish to adopt, or state in which the provider is located. Please note that agencies provide information to IAAME and CEAS for this purpose on a voluntary basis.
Please note: While the agency that conducts your home study must be licensed in your state of residence, the ASP you select to be your Primary Provider (often referred to as a “placing agency”) for an intercountry adoption does not. If you do not locate an accredited ASP with a program that meets your needs or works in the country from which you wish to adopt, you may wish to consult one or both of the accrediting entities that have oversight of ASPS: 1) Intercountry Adoption Accreditation and Maintenance Entity (IAAME), www.iaame.net/contact, and 2) Center for Excellence in Adoption Services (CEAS), www.ceadoption.org/contact.
If you wish to review information on substantiated complaints filed in the Complaint Registry against an ASP, you may do so by reviewing the Accreditation and Approval, Substantiated Complaint and Adverse Action Report, also found on the ASP Directory.
