Adoption Notice: Notice of Temporary Suspension of Joshua Tree Adoptions

On September 11, 2017, the Council on Accreditation (COA) temporarily suspended the accreditation of Joshua Tree Adoptions for failing to maintain substantial compliance with the accreditation standards.

During this suspension, Joshua Tree Adoptions must cease to provide all adoption services in connection with intercountry adoption cases. If you have an open case with this adoption service provider, please contact the adoption service provider directly to find out how the suspension will affect your case. Joshua Tree Adoptions is not required to transfer its cases to another provider at this time, but COA reserves the right to require a transfer of any or all of the Joshua Tree Adoptions cases at any time while it remains under suspension. 

The suspension shall remain in force for a period of not less than two weeks (10 business days) from the effective date of the adverse action or until such later date as required corrective action has been implemented to the satisfaction of COA in its sole discretion.
