On January 6, 2025, the Center for Excellence in Adoption Services (CEAS) accredited Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota to provide adoption services in intercountry adoptions in the United States. The Department recognizes Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota for its accreditation, which is valid through January 6, 2029. Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota was previously accredited from April 1, 2008, until voluntarily relinquishing accreditation on September 30, 2019.
