As announced on September 4, 2020, the Department of State is announcing a Request for Statements of Interest (RSI) from qualified entities interested in seeking the Department’s designation as an Accrediting Entity (AE), to be responsible for the accreditation of agencies and approval of persons who provide adoption services in intercountry adoption cases. Publication of the RSI in the Federal Register has been delayed for administrative reasons until Monday, November 2, 2020, but may be viewed in unpublished format on the Federal Register website. The RSI is now available on the Department’s website. Once published in the Federal Register, we will notify the public through an additional message disseminated via our listservs.
