The Department recognizes and appreciates the vital role accredited and approved adoption service providers play in the intercountry adoption process. On June 26, 2024, the Intercountry Adoption Accreditation and Maintenance Entity (IAAME) renewed the accreditation of Carolina Adoption Services, Inc. to provide adoption services for intercountry adoptions. Carolina Adoption Services, Inc.’s accreditation is valid through June 30, 2028.

Accreditation, approval, monitoring, and oversight of U.S. adoption service providers are handled by the relevant designated accrediting entity, Intercountry Adoption Accreditation and Maintenance Entity (IAAME) or Center for Excellence in Adoption Services (CEAS), responsible for providers with primary offices in the state/region under their jurisdiction.
