Temporary Suspension of Bay Area Adoption Services’ Accreditation Has Been Lifted

This Notice Supersedes the Notice Issued on January 29, 2018

The Council on Accreditation (COA) announced effective February 10, 2018, the temporary suspension placed on Bay Area Adoption Services, which went into effect on January 29, 2018, has been lifted. Bay Area Adoption Services completed the corrective action plan to COA’s satisfaction and COA has determined that Bay Area Adoption Services is now in substantial compliance with applicable U.S. accreditation standards. As of February 10, 2018, Bay Area Adoption Services may resume providing adoption services in connection with intercountry adoptions cases.
