Electronic Processing Requirements


Who is eligible to participate?

The option to participate is initially limited to visa applicants who are applying for a visa at the US Embassies in Guangzhou, China and Montreal, Canada.

The petitioner and visa applicant must have e-mail communication capabilities and document scanning capability to participate in this program.

To determine if you are eligible to participate select the first three letters of the applicant's NVC case number from the following dropdown list and click GO. A PDF document will open that will detail which immigrant visa applicants (i.e. visa category) may participate in the electronic process for a particular Embassy/Consulate. The PDF will also provide the NVC contact information that should be used if the applicant is eligible and chooses to participate in Electronic Processing.


Note - About Adobe Reader: In order to download the Eligibility Letter, you will need to have a recent version of Adobe Reader installed on your computer. There is no charge to download Adobe Reader. Please note that you may receive a "file corrupted" error message if you are using an older version of Adobe Reader.
