On June 24, 2003, the China Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA) announced it has resumed processing the dossiers of prospective adoptive parents. This work had been temporarily suspended due to the outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

The State Department and our diplomatic posts in China are following these developments closely, and we will post new information at this site as it becomes available.
