Last Updated: March 14, 2018

On March 12, 2018, the Council on Accreditation (COA) temporarily suspended the accreditation of Adopt Abroad Incorporate for failing to maintain substantial compliance with accreditation standards.

During this suspension, Adopt Abroad Incorporated must cease to provide all adoption services in connection with intercountry adoption cases. If you have an open case with Adopt Abroad Incorporated, please contact them directly to find out how the suspension will affect your case. Adopt Abroad Incorporated is not required to transfer its cases to another provider at this time, but COA reserves the right to require a transfer of any or all of the Adopt Abroad Incorporated cases at any time while it remains under suspension.

The suspension shall remain in force for a period of not less than two weeks (10 business days) from the effective date of the adverse action or until such later date as required corrective action has been implemented to the satisfaction of COA in its sole discretion.
